Verb‐governed infinitival complementation in English

LVTC member Sofía Bemposta-Rivas has just published the volume Verb‐governed infinitival complementation in the recent history of English (Peter Lang). The book explores, in particular, to- and bare-infinitive complement clauses in the recent history of American and British English with the aim of contributing to the existing literature by modelling the variation using methodologies provided by corpus linguistics and multivariate analyses. Specifically, this monograph deals with morphological, syntactic and semantic/pragmatic variation, governed by dare, need and help.
