Workshop on Language and the Brain (WoLB 2019)


The recently launched Language and Cognition Lab (Lang&Co. Lab) will be hosting the International Workshop on Language and the Brain (WoLB 2019) in October 2019.

Organised by Miguel Cuevas Alonso, Rosalía Rodríguez Vázquez, David Tizón Couto and Javier Pérez Guerra, all four members of the LVTC Research Group, WoLB 2019 will bring together international researchers working in disciplines such as Cognitive Linguistics, Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics. The plenary speakers include Héctor Caruncho (Medical Sciences, University of Victoria), Sónia Frota (Phonetics and Phonology Laboratory & Lisbon Baby Lab, Universidade de Lisboa), Katie Overy (Institute for Music in Human and Social Development, University of Edinburgh), and Carlos Acuña-Fariña (English Language and Linguistics, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela).

The conference, which every member of the research and academic communities is kindly invited to attend, will be taking place at the Faculty of Philology and Translation on 3rd and 4th October.
